Product specification

A general-purpose treatment to protect against corrosion and scale build up in all types of water circulation central heating systems.

This unique formulation has been rigorously tested under the NSF CIAS corrosion inhibitor certification program to improve boiler and system efficiency by reducing fuel consumption. The formulation has been proven to protect all metals against corrosion – including steel, copper, brass and aluminium.

NSF CIAS was formerly known as the BuildCert certification programme and this Central Heating System Corrosion Inhibitor formulation has held certification for more than 10 years.

Chemical corrosion inhibitors are essential to maintaining a central heating system and are consequently included within Part L of the Building Regulations for Conservation of Fuel and Power. In addition, boiler manufacturers often require NSF CIAS/ BuildCert-certified inhibitor to be administered for the boiler warranty to remain valid.

Our NSF CIAS Corrosion Inhibitor contains a balanced buffered pH to protect against acid build up and corrosion, providing a longer system life.

The use of this corrosion inhibitors will help to prevent gas build up and boiler noise for a safer and quieter system.

Directions for use:

To inhibit corrosion, scale, boiler noise and hydrogen gassing add NSF Approved Central Heating System Corrosion Inhibitor.

For best results the system should be cleaned and flushed in accordance with BS7593:2019 using either a general purpose flush/system cleanser or an acidic system flush and descaler.

Dose Rate: One litre of NSF Approved Central Heating System Corrosion Inhibitor is sufficient to treat a typical domestic central heating system of up to ten radiators. For larger systems an additional bottle may be required. Overdosing does not present a problem.

Dosing instructions:-

Open Vented systems: Dose through the fill and expansion system – sufficient water must be drained from the system to ensure that all of the product enters the circulating part of the system.

Sealed systems: If the system is empty add to any convenient point before filling: if full, dose through any convenient access point.

LEAVE IN SYSTEM: DO NOT ADD TO PRIMATIC SYSTEMS, PROTECT FROM FROST
