Acidic Flush and Descaler: Acid based sludge and deposit remover
Central Heating System Acidic Flush and Descaler is an acid based limescale and sludge deposit remover suitable for use in restoring old water circulation central heating systems. Ideal for use in hard and bore water areas, this highly efficient cleanser is the ideal product for use prior to treatment with an inhibited corrosion inhibitor to improve system life and efficiency.
Central Heating System Acidic Flush and Descaler will remove build-ups of Hydrogen Sulphide and bio-films which can give off foul odours when bleeding radiators and cause corrosion and sludge within your heating system over time if the system isn’t cleansed properly.
Central Heating System Acidic Flush and Descaler is a technical formulation designed to target a wide range of debris and sludge in order to drastically reduce the risk of breakdown and actively improve system life and efficiency. The product is powerful enough to improve the flow of cold and distressed systems where hot water isn’t available. Ideal for use in hard water areas where limescale build-up in radiators and central heating systems is common.
Application: To clean a central heating system in accordance with BS7593:2019, Central Heating System Acidic Flush and Descaler should be circulated with all valves open for a minimum period of one hour and no longer than 12 hours, until all dead and cold spots are removed: warming the system will aid the process. No neutralisation procedure is required.
After cleaning, the system should be drained, refilled with clean water and then thoroughly flushed through all drain points. Refill with clean water and treat with a Central Heating System Corrosion Inhibitor.
Dose Rate: One litre of Central Heating System Acidic Flush and Decaler is sufficient to treat a typical domestic central heating system with up to ten radiators. For larger systems an additional bottle will be required. Overdosing does not present a problem.
Open Vented Systems: Dose through the fill and expansion system – sufficient water must be drained from the system to ensure that all of the product enters the circulating part of the system;
Sealed Systems: If the system is empty add to any convenient point before filling; if full, dose through any convenient access point.
DO NOT LEAVE IN SYSTEM.
DO NOT ADD TO PRIMATIC SYSTEMS.
Dissolves limescale build-up and eliminates bio-films with ease.
Removes cold spots from radiators to reduce fuel consumption and improve system efficiency.
Re-suspends heavy black iron oxide and other debris.
