We’re Growing, But Our Carbon Footprint Isn’t…

At Liquid Science, we work hard to drive the continuous expansion of our company, which as a result has led to considerable growth, particularly over the last two years.

As businesses expand, it’s natural for their carbon footprint to grow as well. However, our dedication to environmental responsibility has steered us in a different direction. Rather than witnessing an increase, we’re proud to report a reduction in our carbon footprint.

In the last two years, despite experiencing a 32% growth in turnover, we’ve managed to decrease our CO2e emissions by 35% calculated as CO2e/Turnover. Comparing the reduction in our CO2e emissions against the increase in our growth, has allowed us to provide an overall and more accurate calculation of how our commitment to sustainability continues to minimise our environmental impact, despite our business continuing to thrive.

To achieve this sustainable growth, we’ve proudly implemented a number of changes which include a 59.28kW solar PV system, upgrading our compressor and drier to achieve a much more efficient compressed air system. Not to mention, with plans to increase our solar PV system by a further 99.36kW along with a 108kW battery storage system in the coming months, we remain committed to our pledge and continue to be mindful of the relationship between our company growth and our environmental responsibility.
