Formulating For You

At Liquid Science we now house an extensive range of equipment, allowing us to push the boundaries of our formulas, and enhance our product development further than ever before.

Within our facilities, we now benefit from Infrared Spectroscopy (IR) and also Gas Liquid Chromatography (GLC), with both services enabling us to provide a more detailed examination and analysis of our formulas and products. In addition, our QUV Accelerated Weather Tester which can imitate the effects of natural sunlight and rain damage allows us to trial products against the exposure of outdoor weather. Using UV and moisture, the QUV Accelerated Weather Tester provides Liquid Science the ability to test the resilience of materials against long term weathering, which can highlight issues such as colour change, cracking and oxidation. For marine environments we benefit from salt spray testing which is a further accelerated weathering test.

We are fortunate at Liquid Science to have great relationships and connections within the paint industry, which is strengthened by our sister company VIL Resins. VIL have a long and established history within the coatings industry and this association allows us to combine both knowledge and expertise along with the above technological resources, to provide a full service to our customers, advancing ideas and new products every day.
